Questions and Answers

What is the difference between regular packages and MINIS?

Typically, standard packages span one hour or longer and offer flexibility for tailoring the experience to the client’s specific desires and requirements. They are an excellent choice for those seeking a personalized photography session and are willing to invest more in their family photos.

On the other hand, mini-packages are usually shorter, around 30 minutes, and come with a predetermined theme and setup. They are frequently available during specific seasons or holidays like autumn, Christmas, or Mother’s Day and typically come with a restricted number of digital files. These mini-packages are well-suited for clients who are content with a more concise set of images or photo cards.

What is your style of family photography?

I’m versatile in my approach to family photography, catering to each client’s unique needs and preferences. I have experience in both traditional and lifestyle photography, and I appreciate the qualities of each style.

Traditional Family Photography entails carefully posed and formal portraits, often taken in a studio or specific location, resulting in classic and timeless images where family members are arranged to create a polished look.

On the other hand, Lifestyle Family Photography captures the essence of families in their everyday environments, whether at home or in a beloved park. It focuses on candid, unposed moments that authentically showcase the family’s real-life dynamics.

While I primarily work with traditional and lifestyle photography for clients, I also have a genuine passion for fine art family photography. This style allows for the creation of visually striking and artistic images, adding a touch of elegance and creativity to family portraits.

Do you offer studio photo sessions?

Yes, I know how to work in a studio and use studio lights to get great pictures. Studio photos look fancy and glamorous, especially with props and different backgrounds.

Where do you shoot family photos?

Tulsa and nearby areas have many lovely places for family photos. I’ve put together a list of these spots. When you book a session with me, we’ll chat about what you like, and I’ll give you some ideas for locations that match your preferences.

How can I prepare for a family or group photoshoot?

Preparing for a family or group photoshoot is a collaborative process. I’ll work closely with you to discuss location, wardrobe choices, and any other specific preferences. Together, we’ll ensure everything is well-coordinated for a successful and enjoyable session.

What if the weather turns unfavorable on the planned shoot day?

If the weather takes an unfavorable turn on our scheduled shoot day, don’t worry. We can either reschedule the session for a more suitable day when the weather is more cooperative, or, depending on the type of shoot and your preferences, we may have alternative indoor or covered locations in mind. Communication is key, and I will work closely with you to ensure the best possible outcome, come rain or shine. Your photos' comfort and quality are my top priorities, and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.

Can I still book a photo session even if I'm not good at posing?

No need to be concerned! I’m here to help and guide you throughout the session. We’ll focus on capturing your natural moments and genuine expressions. Just be yourself, and we’ll create beautiful photos together.

How do you edit your photos?

I have a unique approach to photo editing, avoiding pre-made filters or presets. I utilize Photoshop and other techniques to achieve a natural and appealing look. My editing style is inspired by the European tradition, aiming to maintain the authenticity of the original images while adding beauty and mood. I strive to enhance the photos while preserving their genuine and honest essence.
